Hi Neil--
I hope this isn't coming in too late.
Lately I've been getting into a bad habit. I'm allowing my thumb nail to rattle a bass string, like the low E, that I'm not playing. It's not all the time, but my theory is that it happens when I'm finding the left hand challenging and I seem to dig in with the right.
Is this something that happens to people frequently? Otherwise, I think my right hand position is pretty good with no problem alternating bass notes, etc. Your thoughts?
Jean

What is the best position for finger picking – on the left leg raised on a footstool, – on the right leg raised on a footstool or on the right leg with both feet flat on the floor?
