This is so cool to see! Very exciting to watch them get ready to fly.
Usually, once birds fledge, they do not return to the nest. It'll be interesting to see if that is true.

Thank you Neil for keeping us in the loop on your cute little mama hummingbird and her new babies with live feed and a sequential video put to beautiful music. I’ve had so much fun following their progress and now they’re finally ready to fly. Yay.

Thanks for checking in and I'm glad you are appreciating the look at nature we are getting. I hope to record the moment they leave, and am running the recorder almost all the time.
The experts at the bird store The Los Gatos Birdwatcher told me that when they can fly a bit they will probably just get to a nearby tree, where Mama will keep feeding them until they are stronger, and then...

It might be today so I will keep recording.

We have a few Bull Finches ( I think that's what they are with the black head and face) on the tree outside the flat window.
Unfortunately couldn't follow their nest.
