Hey Gang,

Here we are again near the end of winter and another Anna's Hummingbird has graced us with choosing to start her family here. This time the nest is in a bush, rather than in the awning of past years. The 2 eggs hatched on Sunday February 12. Following is the live feed, with all the previous days below.

Hummingbirds can use spider webs in making their nests. The eggs look like the white GoodN'Plenty candy.

Neil,

Here is my Hummingbird sighting. First spotted in a Mississippi pawn shop, traveled by submarine for a few years in the Navy. It is well-traveled and now calls Iowa home. Plays like a dream, although still helping me through your lessons.

Neil- that is so cool!! I love hummingbirds but have never been very good at attracting them. I think the red berries on that bush must be the trick. I will keep watching for more of the darling little creatures and thanks for posting this.

Hey Bear,

Great to hear from you and I hope all is well up in Oregon. Please give us an update on your life, at least musical, when you can.

All the best,

Neil

Just bumping this thread as we are probably less than a week away from the babies taking off.

The babies are now out on their own. They left the nest around 10:00AM, which was around 3:30:30 in the March 9 video. It looks like mama came by and nudged them on their way.
