No idea why but the new Blog page seems to use a lot of CPU - any one else seeing this effect?
My PC is old but it's odd to see a web page taking 80/100% cpu even on this dinosaur :)

Try opening up your task manager and going to "Processes" then click 'User Name' there are sure to be some useless programs running that you can close, that will help with the CPU usage of your PC at least a little.

Already done that ;) it shows iexplore.exe running at 90/100% CPU if I have the main page and the Blog open in seperate tabs and when I navigate away from TotallyGuitars it drops back to the usual 0/3%ish ... it's not so obvious on my works PC which is a much more up to date machine, doesn't seem to have a problem with other sites /shrug - the only real problem is that if I try to play one of the videos on the Blog page it stutters badly (as you'd expect if the machine was struggling)

I also see "100% CPU usage" when playing the "Windy and Warm" video from the TG Blog section. I don't see such high CPU usage when playing richardk's "Never Going Back Again" video from the TG Forum section. It looks like those videos use different video players for playback. Could that be the issue?

What's odd is that I see the high CPU before actually playing any videos, I was wondering if the site used some sort of "pre-caching" to speed things up and the number of videos it was pre-loading was causing it - it's not THAT much of a problem since I use my works PC mainly and it's a much more up to date machine so it can cope with the load :)

I've noticed my computer runs slow on this particular site but I thought it was because my hard-drive is pretty full and I've got an old computer.

mine is not too old but I am finding it sluggish on this site too. Especially today, hopefully the webinar runs no problem!

I think it must be an age problem with most PC's mine runs at 1% when on the Blog fluctuates a bit got as highs as 25% but quickly dropped back to 1 - 2%, Nothing else major running at time.

I saw this about a week ago when I first got into the TARGET site. Not anymore. My machine is a QUAD Core 2.4gig intel 64bit with 4gig of ram and 750gig hard drive space...so it should handle the site. Which it does now.
