Hi folks,

maybe you guys can help me with a transcription problem. I'm working on Eric Johnson's A Song For Life, and since there seem to be no accurate free tabs, I'm trying to transcribe it myself. Here's the song:

I've gotten through part one, up until 1:30 but after that, the time signature seems to change from a 4/4 to a 3/4, although the tempo doesn't change. TuxGuitar, however, does change the tempo when I switch from a 4/4 to a 3/4 at that point in notation. (I'll attach my tabs if the forum lets me. The triplet runs are not 100% accurate, but it's the best I could do so far.) Am I doing something wrong, do I have to transcribe it as triplet feel or real tupletos or what else? Or is the software doing something wrong?

It'd be great if somebody could help me out. I can probably come up with a make-do transcription somehow but I'd rather transcribe it accurately in terms of time.

Cheers,
Richard

Edit: Problem solved (with 6/8 timing).
