Since I am the owner of 'The Beatles' group I would definitely have to say they are number one. However, early 1970's prog rock bands figure high on my list. Bands like The Moody Blues, Pink Floyd, Yes, Jethro Tull.

I like many 70's bands but I guess, and my wife will agree The Eagles are my all time favourite. I like all the different line ups right from the start but best would be the combination with Felder and Walsh. A close second would be Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac, original lineup.

I have to say it's Led Zeppelin. 4 talented musicians delivering the staples of Rock and Roll for decades to come. Still sounds fresh today.

My first favorite band was probably Rush. For some reason I've always been attracted to odd and rotating meters (even before I knew what they were).

I have to go with the Prog groups as well! The bands posted below are all great too. How about Chicago (early 70's)? Awesome band!

I think Avenged Sevenfold is on of the greatest bands right now. Gunslinger from their latest album is amazing.

I'm a life long Who fan, too bad the Ox is gone and Moonie so long ago. Those mofos could rip it up live. I still think "Live at Leeds" is the best live album ever.

The Beat Farmers! You've probably never heard of them, but they ROCKED. Plenty of videos on Youtube. Worth a listen IMHO. Image
