I was bound and determined to play guitar and I had (still have) an Esteban A/E. Nice guitar but even after having it setup by a pro, its still hard to play. I had been banging away on it for about 2 years when I was gifted with a Lawsuit Takamine. What an incredible difference. I love the sound of the Esteban, but the Takamine is so much easier to play. Now I love playing and I hardly ever put it down.
The difference between a cheap guitar and a quality one is its playability. Thats what you are paying for. It can be had for under $200, but you have to look around a bit.
