One of my favorite bands are the Replacements. They never made it as big as they should have.Paul Westerberg the lead singer and songwriter is very talented. The Replacements were big a influence on many of the underground and grunge bands of the 90's.Early Replacements music has a raw garage sound to it but through that rawness there is a melodic sound that Westerberg is known for.Left of the Dial is a great early Replacements song whos' title is a reference to where on the radio you can find smaller independent radio stations that would play "college" rock.I am not one that likes a band just because they are "underground" or not popular. Most of my favorites are very mainstream.Beatles Stones etc.but the Replacements were great. The 'mats last album All Shook Down in my opinion was the best. Some tunes my the Replacements that are definatally worth checking out on I tunes are Left of the dial.Alex Chilton,Can't hardly wait,Kiss me on the bus,Skyway,One wink at a time.Nobody,When it began ,Achin to be,I'll be you
