Hey Mark, glad you could meet with Rick and signed the banner. Looking forward to see your video of sleight of hand.

great to hear you had a nice time under the banners magic,,,and i am glad to find some humor in your lines,,,looking forward to see a vid again from your playing..RicksPick wrote:yeah we had a great time chatting and playing our way through some TG favorites.Hi Banner fans
Last Night the banner made it to Gloucestershire, England, and was signed by Mark :woohoo:
Plus I would like to say a big thank you to Mark and his good lady for being great hosts for the eve
Beforehand I felt nervous as I have been mezmirised by marks guitar skills
I/we had a good time, played through lots of songs, TG songs( inbetween chatting )
I also got to sit and listen to something Mark is working on, not that you could tell they needed any more practice
That was a bonus, I would do it all again in a heart beat, top evening with a great TG member
A Not nervous anymore RicksPick,
Thanks Mark
Everything from Wish you were here, my my hey hey, the needle and the damage done and of course the ultimate TG favorite - Norwegian wood.
Rick even gave me a sneak preview of a bit of singing and I showed him my first attempt at "Sleight of hand" (which I'm thinking of renamig "Broken hand")
Hopefully we can arrange something similar if there are a few more British members.

I think that is great, the banner needs to make a stop in Phoenix. I hope all of the "behind the scene" people at TG have a chance to sign it too. They make the TG locomotive run! Before crossing the Atlantic, I hope it makes it to Naz also.

Hi Mike thanks for updating the map. I have noticed that since you have the control over the map, you have borrowed the banner to bring it in Phoenix

Hi folks
As you may know - I now have the TG banner. I collected it from Rick yesterday afternoon at an official "Passing the Tube" ceremony. On second thoughts, maybe we should come up with a better name
It was great to meet Rick - my first TG person to person. Although we didn't get a chance to play our guitars (don't think the diners at the restaurant would have appreciated that!) we had a very pleasant chat before heading off in opposite directions.....me, to return to work and him to continue his holiday. No, of course I wasn't envious!!
I'd like to thank Rick for taking the time to travel north and get the banner to me. I have attempted to attach a photograph of the handover.....but I have very little faith that I'll have managed it successfully!
My current thinking is to take the banner north to Scotland NEXT weekend to gather all of the Scottish members (tombo1230, thereshopeyet, carpet - any more of you?) signatures at one fell swoop. This seems to me to be both cost and time effective but if anyone has strong feelings to the contrary just let me know and I can arrange to post it midweek. On my return from Scotland I'll clean off the beer stains and send it on to the other Stuart (SWS626). Stuart - I'll PM you for postage details.
I shall add some sort of signing picture or such very soon.
Stuart

Hope you like the ecclesiastical feel!
