Marc - Thank you. I really don't like this "taking chances" stuff. Really un-nerves me. I know the singing is VERY weak but I felt compelled to upload this song as it's a GREAT 4-chord campfire song.
Chris - Thank you. I didn't know it was a simple 4-chord song either. Amazing what some people can do with just 4-chords! You know, if I could actually sing, I might be posting every day. On second thought that would probably be a little over kill. Nevermind.
Jason - Thank you. Looking forward to your 4-chord song. And I agree with you about this thread. It is fun to see/hear/find all these great 3 and 4 chord songs. Can we surpass the banner thread and hit 20,000 views? I hope so!
Jim - Thank you. And BTW your finger-picking upload was really good! I think you may end up being a better picker than strummer. Keep it up!
Kev - I think you have a way better voice than I do. Looking forward to another upload from you. But regarding the slide versus bend.....I believe I do bend the appropriate note (and not slide).
Cori - My friend. Thank you but my name is DARYL (not ERIC)! The 2nd guitar part so completes the progression. I thought about the Les Paul, but the Martin is so nice to play. And yes I am VERY lucky. What's your next upload?????
Bob - Thank you. I'm sure many others will start putting up 2nd guitar parts.....
Busking 3 or 4 Chord Songs
Daryl,
That was really enjoyable. Great addition to this thread. Smooth, beautiful solos (I love the bends), sweet singing, well just really enjoyable all around. It's proof that you don't need pyrotechnics to have a cool song. Great work.
I obviously didn't hide your mask and the key to the closet well enough.
Anyone noticed how many sings are in G?
I'm really glad that you changed your mind about the no posting dealio you had threatened for a moment there. Good to have ya back. I say if you feel like posting then post. It's all good.
Thanks.
Shel

Craig - Thank you. It is a great song. I don't have people to play with either, so I play with myself!
You should try it too!
It's great fun!!
Kev - Got it. I was playing the bends as slides initially but thought it sounded better as bends.
Willem - Why didn't YOU put up the song?
Dennis - Thank you. A real fun song to do (especially if one can sing).
Michele - Thank you. The bends really complete the song. Like I've said before it is amazing that 4 simple chords (in the right hands) can make a beautiful song. And you're right I found your hiding spot!

Wow - logged on tonight to see "35 NEW!!" beside this thread. I love how it has captured the imagination. Anyway...........
Pierre - 2 things; Firstly, thank you for the kind words on my video (about 10 pages back by now!) and secondly, great addition of the Jean Leleoup tune. Really enjoyed it and it's nice to hear something new. Maybe there should be a thread for more traditional songs - or has that been tried already?
Daryl - you have an enviably clean playing style and always look very much in control of what you're doing. This was beautifully played and great to hear you singing too.

and some thank yous;
Tom - I can only assume that the accent is due to spending 3 yours in the company of you and Dermott a while back - I never used to sound like this! Thanks for the kind words on the video.
Cori - Art school girls never fell for my accent - I hope you had more luck! A couple of good things about the harmonica - cheap and portable. Means you can take them with you most places and get to practising. Looking forward to seeing you have a go.

Now I finally get around to replying to your responses to my post on page 30 (already) ... whew !
Suzi, I remember that you have are interested in languages, so you understand limits to translation. Thanks for watching !
Cori, thanks! Very kind of you ... Jean Leloup has a strong theatrical bent also ... has had some weird get ups in live shows ...
Does some body-surfing on the crowd, too B)
Willem, thanks for tapping along, and, yes I'm French (not from France).
Daryl, that video effect reminds me of way back when I did some visual arts (painting and stuff) ... a happy accident !
It was a combination of add this, remove that and taadaaa !? ...
Anyway, I have the AVS Video Editor project file for future analysis. If you'd like to have a look, feel free to PM me.
Michele, thanks for the warm response ... I just hope that "spirit" makes up for lack of something more substantial ! :S
Dennis ... Alzheimer's ? I think that you are implying that the loss was not quite in the order stated ... food for thought ! Thanks !!
Kevin, you actually sang along ? That has me picturing adding an inset of you in this video, doing just the vocals !
I suggest that you start practicing pronunciation, for example: rolling your "R"s
Craig, nice to hear from you, thanks ! (Don't overdo the torture stuff).
Chris, I thought you might know a thing or two about Ottawa girls ... thanks
Ness, thanks, glad you liked it ... I remembered you said I look too serious in my last video, so I guess that this time it showed that I was having fun :cheer:
Jim, Tom, Bob, Marc, Stuart: thanks for your heads up, I appreciate it
Come to think of it, I'm glad that the fish weren't swimming off in a panic to the far side of the aquarium ... that would have sucked !
