Hi Pat,

I've been muddling around with jazz chords lately, so I have the conceit of maybe understanding some of the effort you put into getting this far along ... very well done. That's as technical as I can get while still remaining credible.

My real suggestion to you is that you could use this result as a good excuse to justify acquiring an arch-top guitar and making this tune sound as percussive as it's meant to be. Maybe someone out there wonders what would be good for you at Xmas ?

Oh well, I guess this is something like the golden rule ... wish unto others as ...

 BUMP!

7 months and three weeks is FAR too long for this monster thread to be lurking in the deep, so I'm giving it floaties. :)

The VERY talented Cori and Krista are working on a new contribution to this thread. I LOVE their work and can't wait to see what they come up with. Cori has also issued a challenge (in the banner thread) for others to join in the fun and to get the 3/4 chord song party kicking again. I'm game. Who else will join us? :) :)

For anyone who hasn't seen this thread, you're in for a bunch of treats. There are lots of seriously cool songs in here that have relatively few chords. The first page is an index that was created by Daryl to turn this thread into a learning resource too. Brilliant!

This is an opportunity for long time members and new people alike to post a relatively straightforward song and have some fun. It's more relaxed than posting videos for review.

So 3 or 4 chords really means - primarily a small amount of of chords; some in here have 6 and more. That's cool. Don't let the number limit what you put up if you'd like to post something.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new additions.

The gauntlet is down. Who will pick it up next? Woo hoo! B)

Nirvana, Evanescence...Heart Shaped Box
chords: A, F, D, & D7

She eyes me like a Pisces when I am weak I've been locked inside your heart-shaped box for weeks I've been drawn into your magnet tar pit trap I wish I could eat your cancer when you turn black
Hey! Wait! I got a new complaint Forever in debt to your priceless advice Hey! Wait! I got a new complaint Forever in debt to your priceless advice
Hey! Wait! I got a new complaint Forever in debt to your priceless advice Your advice
Meat-eating orchids forgive no one just yet Cut myself on angel hair and baby's breath Broken hymen of 'Your Highness', I'm left black Throw down your umbilical noose so I can climb right back
Hey! Wait! I got a new complaint Forever in debt to your priceless advice Hey! Wait! I got a new complaint Forever in debt to your priceless advice
Hey! Wait! I've got a new complaint Forever in debt to your priceless advice Your advice

Hey! Wait! I got a new complaint Forever in debt to your priceless advice Hey! Wait! I got a new complaint Forever in debt to your priceless advice
Hey! Wait! I got a new complaint Forever in debt to your priceless advice Your advice, your advice, your adivce!!!!

Hey Cori,

It's been 2 and a half hours and it's still "in process". I'm guessing you've made some epic video that's 4 or 5 hours long! Can't wait. It should be great! ;-)

Good on ya Krista! B) show that boy how it's done. :)

OMG! Bloody Hell! You two just get COOOOOLER with every upload.

I LOVE this!

Very cool guitar work Cori, I especially like the bends that match Krista singing. Great arrangement.

Krista - your voice is just to die for. I'd LOOOOOOOVE to have your tone, range and depth. You've got a fabulous quality to your voice. It's hypnotic.

Well another video that knocks it out of the park (can't say hit for six here).

great contribution to this thread.

What she said!

I don't know this song, but you two sounded great together. Great pipes and solid playing. It's been way too long since you guys have uploaded something. Thanks. Keep 'em coming.
