Hi Everyone,
Today's Target and Pay Per Lesson release is now live.
In 1974 Joni Mitchell released her Court And Spark album, which included Free Man In Paris. Many artists, including Aimee Mann and Elton John, have since covered the song.
It is played in Double Dropped D Tuning and uses just a few chord shapes. There are some tricky rhythm patterns and the lesson includes a simple tab arrangement just showing the chord shapes. The specific variations on each chord are explained in detail in the various segments.
Enjoy this level 6 lesson!

Neil, your Christmas break really re-rejuvenated your creative lessonry (don't think thats a word but....) I would have never considered this an acoustic guitar song, but alas, you've pulled another "Rabbit out of the hat".
Thanks,
Scott

I haven't watched the whole lesson, but enjoyed looking at this. I had one of my guitars in double drop D as I had also looked at last week's Neil Young lesson. So, got me thinking would be nice to find easily the answer to a question like what other songs are in this tuning?

Would you call the Asterix Chords at
Fret 7 - A Major Add 9 Add 11
I'm not sure about the chord naming rules of thumb but.....
B is a 2 or 9 and D is a 4 or 11, I assume you use the extension Add 9 Add 11 because the 3rd (C#) is present and there's no 7th.
Fret 5 - G Major
Fret 10 - C7 Add 9
