Thanks for the question. In 1982 I had the Santa Cruz Guitar Company build me a Model FTC, which was the only guitar I had until I picked up one from Ed Claxton in about 2000. The first four albums were all done with the SCGC and the Claxton was used for Cobble Creek (as seen on the cover) and El Dorado.

Yes, the Santa Cruz has noticeable fingerboard inlays, little fan patterns. The Claxton has none.
