Well, first and foremost I would have to say Neil..... His lessons and knowledge have certainly inspired me to dream much bigger about my playing than I ever would have before joining this site. I'll never be able to thank him enough for that......

There are many others as well, so I will post separate threads as I think of them as you requested.... B)

As a second note, I would like to piggyback on calling out Bear. I have grown to be very fond of the big guy and enjoy very much my conversations with him. I can always ask and get a straight answer without having to filter through a bunch of BS..... Cheers Rick! Thanks for everything and I am truly holding out hope for a get together for some BBQ and guitar playing one of these days... You have become a fine friend.

Tony:

I'll throw you out there now.... ;)

You have tackled some good songs and have proven that hard work pays off. I am inspired by your attitude and follow through. I am also holding hopes for a camping trip with some campfire and guitar playing someday..... B)

This question is almost impossible to answer. I am absolutely inspired by everybody that contributes to this site. I learn something from each and everyone here. Most of all I realize that my struggles are shared by many others here and that alone inspires me to keep going. Knowing I am not alone is a great help.
I do have one story to share however. When Vanessa put up her version of On The Way Home, By The Buffalo Springfield, (one of my favorite songs of all time) I wanted to learn it. I tried playing along with her but was unsure of some of the chords. I sent her a email and within about ten minutes she sent me the chords. How cool to be able to learn from someone halfway around the world!

There are so many that I would like to mention but Michele always draws my attention on all kinds of points that I seem to miss. Whether by her threads, opinions, or playing, there is always something new and unexpected. I am trying to take example on her attention to details when learning a song. Great humor and fantastic little poems.

Great to know you Michele

I did say you didn't have to limit yourselves to just one person! :)

My hesitation in posting this thread was that there are so many people here that have great qualities and I'm glad to know and I am concerned that some great people will get overlooked...so share the praise and post more than once if you feel inclined to!

Daryl, thank you mate and MJ...camping in the USA, playing, fishing and telling tall tales sounds just like heaven to me....one day!

I wanted to tell you all about someone else I really admire:

if there were a prize for being 'TG Community minded', then surely Willem would be first nomination. Sometimes I think language can be a little bit of a barrier to Willem expressing his point but despite that (Wilem your English beats my Dutch any day of the week mate) his sense of humour shines through and he is always one of the first to offer encouragement and friendship. The site would be much poorer without this Dutchman I'm certain of that. I'm pretty sure Willem was the very first person on the site to video a collaboration, when he visited with Anton after his accident. I could be wrong on that but I don't think so, which makes Willem a real pioneer as well. Cheers to you Willem!

Bear is very much all the things listed about him.
Ditto for Tony.

But I want to bring someone to light that did more than just inspire me. I learned something about myself from her. And for that I'm eternally grateful. Michelle and I had a discussion a while back and I was a bit more enthusiastic than I meant to be. She not only took it in stride, but in her doing so, I was able to spot something in myself that I've worked hard to change. I'll never be perfect, but then its all about the journey, right?

That's mine for today.
