Neil - thanks so much! I'm REALLY looking forward to meeting a real live guru. assistance - hmmm .... Got any more advice for the stage petrified? I'm going to keep telling myself that the anticipation is the worst part. I've gradually gotten used to the camera nerves thing so I'm hoping my fingers won't be shaking so much that I'm playing constant vibrato.

Wiley - I've been told by a reliable source that your BBQ is the best she's EVER tasted. Aussies LOVE a good barbie. Sounds fantastic!

MJ - hey old man! I've been thinking about the things I'd like one-on-one advice about from our fab teachers. It occurred to me this morning that my palm-muting still needs help. Maybe I can kill two birds with one stone; learn Old Man and then dedicate it to you if I'm able to play it by August.

I have to say I'm already freaking out a little at the prospect of playing live, but a zombie's got to do what a zombie's got to do right? So maybe David and I will write a couple of songs that have two acoustic guitar parts. no pressure David...

Gosh, darn it, Michele! You go and announce that you're going to the IGC and then I go and check the calendar and I see that Aug. 29-Sept. 2 can fit into my schedule. Is this really possible? Looks like I'll be registered and have the flight booked by tonight!

Advice for performing? The first time is the most difficult. I'd advise lowering your expectations and try playing something easy, that you know well. Not a showpiece, just something fun that people will sing along with and get through it. After that it gets easier.
