Cori & Krista - Very nice swing style playing, Cori and Krista sang really beautifully, again - but I have to say, I'm with Krista if it comes to a vote ;) And by the way, I'd have loved to see Krista's face if you'd suggested another take!

This is an epic thread, an all-time TG winner for content and length. You never can tell what a simple question will trigger, eh Michele? :-) Good on you and Daryl for getting the ball rolling.

Many thanks for all the kind comments to my posts, very much appreciated indeed.
In my humble (video junkie) opinion, you shouldn't let the fact that Chris has posted a version of this song stop you from posting one too. That is especially true if your version is quite different to Chris'. I know I'd love to see it.
Michele
Ditto from me. But I wonder what You Tube will then have to say about it. Like Ness, I've been uploading to my YT account and then copy pasting here as I didn't know it the uploader would handle uploads to one thread from multiple members. I got flagged again for posting content similar to some multimedia-mogul-music-monster-corporations copyright. I'm not bothered, I'm flattered I came that close to jog the robot scanner into a match, but I am annoyed for reasons I'll share on a new thread so as not to infect this one with negative energy.

Holy cow, can't guy go away for a couple of days without 120 posts getting added to this thread?

Ness and Corina: You guys sing like angels together. I love every single note of what you do.

Chris: Terrific job on Gold Watch Blues. I've never heard it, and I thought I knew everything Donovan ever did. And Running to Stand Still was just gorgeous. I've always thought you could nail U2 songs, given that your voice is right in Bono's range. I'd love to hear you do Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For.

Pierre: Hey, I really enjoyed Superman's Song. Just goes to show, I should have listened to something past Mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm. Good to see you standing up, Pierre. How did it feel?

Cori and Krista: What a great arrangement of this old chestnut. Loved it.

Whew, I'm exhausted from catching up on this thread.

Stuart- Thanks, glad you liked the singing & the guitar style even if you weren't big fan of the song. I believe Krista might have really got the frying pan out if I had suggested
another take. lol!

Willem- Glad you enjoyed it!

Michele- Duly, noted((lol!!!)...I believe you are correct. But believe it or not, I actually wasn't looking at her to see if she was still in the room/ still participating...it was more of a timing thing. But you're right, it definitely looked like that is what I was doing on the video. And you're right, her faces were something else. lol! (She was laughing about it today...so all is good.) She's a good egg! I am sure the karma will come full circle...as there are some songs she wants to do that I am not that crazy about either...but of course I'll do 'em 'cuz what is fair is fair. (I'm with ya!) Next time, one of her choosing for sure. Hopefully, she still did okay on her tests today....even, with all of my pestering & Tom-Foolery.

Dennis- Thank You Sir, glad you enjoyed it & liked the arrangement.

P. S. Krista doesn't often embarrass easily....burping & flatulence are sort of running jokes in our household (What can I say we're low brow & not very couth)...otherwise I wouldn't have made the burping up Taco Bell comment. hehe!

Thanks Dennis. I'm always a bit chuffed when I can bring a new song to someone's notice who already knows his stuff.

Chris- Another really nice post from you! You definitely do Bono justice.

Krista and Cori- Your video cracked me up. Krista's face throughout is priceless. I love the look she gives Cori at the end. I watched the video twice just for that! haha! Of course, all that aside, the two of you sound great. Even though she hates the song, Krista did a great job on the vocals. Really spot-on. And great playing from Cori- as usual!

Hi Suzi,

Thanks! Yes, those were the facial expressions of a fairly unhappy camper! LOL! Like Paul Harvey would say: The rest of the story...is that we had done quite a number of takes prior to this.(Well, you know all 'bout
it...you've seen me operate directly before. lol!) Factor in the aforementioned test(s) she had to study for (that I was keeping her from with my shenanigans) and the fact that she just flat LOATHED the song...well, all that added up to an un-happy Krista. But she has been laughing about it today!
So I guess it is all good...

Thanks Again!

Singing the Blues......Three chords (E A and B7). Four if you want to count the E7. ;)

I’m sure many/most of you will understand this particular video is HUGE for me.

Singing the Blues

Well, I never felt more like singin' the blues
'cause I never thought that I'd ever lose
Your love dear, why'd you treat me this way?

Well, I never felt more like cryin' all night
'cause everythin's wrong, and nothin' ain't right
Without you, you got me singin' the blues.

The moon and stars no longer shine
The dream is gone I thought was mine
There's nothin' left for me to do
But cry-y-y-y over you

Well, I never felt more like runnin' away
But why should I go 'cause I couldn't stay
Without you, you got me singin' the blues.

Oh, the moon and stars no longer shine
The dream is gone I thought was mine
There's nothin' left for me to do
But cry-y-y-y over you

Well, I never felt more like runnin' away
But why should I go 'cause I couldn't stay
Without you, you got me singin' the blues

What's this? Daryl has removed the virtual veneer? And here I am, where i can't watch the video...darn it!
I did see your face briefly as an avatar about a week or two ago...i was wondering why you took that down, actually.
You definitely looked humanoid to me...

Anyways I am sure this video is killer...can't wait till this evening.

Cori
