Stuart! Sorry, sorry, sorry...I can't believe I did this....okay well I sort of can because & I'm a scatterbrain & this thread is growing like crabgrass every five seconds...anyways, long story short...sorry i didn't get a comment in there on your Awesome Love Me DO! You are hereby, forbidden to exhibit your natural coolness, anymore! B) :) Give us dweebs like me a chance...we can't compete with your: playing, singing, harp playing and bad ass accent. I had some friends in college and we used to try to sound Scottish to impress some art school girls that were likewise impressed with the the lads in the movie "Trainspotting." Sorry about the tangent, Stuart...that was SUPER CooL!! B) B) B)

I am so freaking jealous of your harmonica playing!!

P.S. How come it seems like no one ever wants to sound like they have a U.S accent? Too many to choose from I guess? LOL! :)

Four chords (G C D Em)....way out of my limited 4-note range.....but a great campfire song....

(G)It's late in the (D/F#)evening
(C)She's wondering what (D)clothes to wear
(G)She puts on her (D/F#)make up
(C)And brushes her (D)long blonde hair
(C)And then she (D)asks me
(G)Do I (D/F#)look all (Em)right
And I say (C)yes, you look (D)wonderful to (G) night (D/F#) (C) (D)

(G)We go a (D/F#)party
(C)And everyone (D)turns to see
(G)This beautiful (D/F#)lady
(C)That's walking a (D)round with me
(C)And then she (D)asks me
(G)Do you (D/F#)feel all (Em)right
And I say (C)yes, I feel (D)wonderful to (G) night (G7)

I feel (C)wonderful
Be (D)cause I see the (G)love light (D/F#)in your (Em)eyes
And the (C)wonder of it (D)all
Is that you (C)just don't rea(D)lize
How much I (G)love you D/F# C D G D/F# C D

(G)It's time to go (D/F#)home now
(C)And I've got an aching (D)head
(G)So I give her the (D/F#)car keys
(C)She helps me to (D)bed
(C)And then I (D)tell her
(G)As I (D/F#)turn out the (Em)light
I say my (C)darling, you were (D)wonderful to (G) night D/F# Em Em/D
Oh my (C)darling, you were (D)wonderful to (G)night D/F# C D G D/F# C D G

Great work Darryl. love the picking, always in time. What I like the most is that you are taking more chances with your singing. We can hear you better even if you say it is out of range. Actually it was more solid toward the end as you were singing louder.

Thought you did a fine job

Marc

That's just great Daryl... i never realised that it was so simply structured... but the second guitar does add so much. Great that you sang it too. I'd have to drop the singing an octave and notch it up a bit by adding a capo to get it, so its not an easy one.

Daryl:

Another nice addition. I am currently working on a song with exact same chords..... :P Mine goes Em C G D though...... :)

For fear of starting another brisk debate, I would just like to state that, from my point of view, this thread has been so much fun and so educational (at least from the standpoint of strumming and learning fun songs). For those of us not at a higher level, this is a spectacular way to keep things light and get your groove on in a friendly place. So to all of you that have posted, THANKS! To all of you who are going to post, please do so. I enjoy the hell out of this. My main goal in picking up the guitar was this kind of thing, not to become the next Clapton (I am a bit more of a realist about myself)........ :) :) :) :)

Too COOL! B) B) VERY Nice going there, ERIC! :) :) Love how you put both guitar parts in there, Daryl! I agree that it added a lot. I am surprised you didn't go for the Les Paul to execute those bends...that martin must be a dream to play. (You lucky son of gun!) This thread just never seems to stagnate. It seems there is an infinite number of 3-4 chord songs!

Daryl,

Nice job on that one. I really enjoy the way you put up the leads on your videos.

Very well done

Bob
