Cori:

I have missed a bunch on this thread. Been a few very busy weeks..... :)

Another great cover. I love to see the resonator out. Nice picking as well. Krista...... Hell, what can I say...... Sweet voice young lady. ;)

I love that the two of you do this together. Pretty special in my book.

Craig - Thanks for the comment! That's why I am here, for sure!

Marc - Thanks for noticing and taking the time to comment while traveling!

Kevin - Thanks again! The videos do get easier. I am also trying to be more selective in what I post. Sometimes, in the past, I would record quite a few takes and after a while, just upload the best take. Now, I am trying not to release stuff that is really crappy. I may not be getting better, just more selective. :) On the other hand, it is good as it means I practice the song more than I used to. Lately, I try to memorize the lyrics before posting it. But this time, since it was in Spanish, I decided to make an exception and read the lyrics in the later verses.

Cori:

I have several Eagles songs that I attempt....lol I have been practicing each night, but have not been getting much done. By the time I get the guitar out (usually about 9:30pm) and am wiped from the day and am lucky to get a few good strums in before I am staring at the backs of my eyelids..... :side: :side:

Plus, you know me....... I have a bunch of Jackson Browne stuff tapped away for fun. :P :P

I am planning on some additional clips, but time will tell as to when I get them going. A couple of the latest lessons have been appealing. Neil did a little teaser a long while back in the weekly news and in that teaser, he played the first little part of "Dance With Me" by Orleans. I hunted down a great lesson for that song and have been toying with it a bit. Quick little changes on some relatively easy chords, but it is kicking my butt!!!!

Now is it safe to say that Krista liked this song better than Franky and Johnny?????  :P Now girl, lets talk about yóur expressions!!! B) ;)

Actually I loved them, priceless :) :) :) :) !!!!! It was só great to see how you engaged with the camera and obviously had a lot of fun, it's so much fun to watch such a video! Well add your great vocals to it, which were just pérfect for this song, really really suits you!!

Cori, a lot going in there with your playing! You play great, but you have to work out some more regarding the timing. Like Suzi and Shel pointed out, maybe less is better. In any way, if you get that together all the way through, the two of you will have a fantastic performance to show! :cheer:

Well you two, I sooooooooo very much enjoyed this vid, also love the song very much, so that was a great bonus! :) :) :) :) :)

You really got me

I thought that this song would fit in this thread. Even though it has 5 chords, there are only 2 chord shapes played at different places: 5 minus 2 = 3 so it fits :). When I watched the lesson I remember Neil saying about the caveman riff. I am definitely pre-caveman because I did not find it easy to play and sing along. So it turned out to be a good exercise of rhythm.

It is normally played with power chords but I thought it would a good work-out to do it with the full chords and practice the pressure on-off

I should have played with F# instead of F to accommodate my sexy voice, but between reading the lines and changing chords I would get lost going back to F# so it was safer with F as I cannot go any further down the fretboard :)

Marc

PLEASE NOTE: If video was recently uploaded it will not work yet. YouTube will need a little more time to get the video ready. Please check back again soon.

That was so cool. I loved the percussive sound and I thought you really got into the rhythm of it.

Way to go :woohoo: :woohoo:
