AS a Scottish member I'd love to join you all for a banner signing and maybe a Cèilidh but unfortunately I'm busy that day :laugh:Hi folks
My current thinking is to take the banner north to Scotland NEXT weekend to gather all of the Scottish members (tombo1230, thereshopeyet, carpet - any more of you?) signatures at one fell swoop. This seems to me to be both cost and time effective but if anyone has strong feelings to the contrary just let me know and I can arrange to post it midweek. On my return from Scotland I'll clean off the beer stains and send it on to the other Stuart (SWS626). Stuart - I'll PM you for postage details.
I shall add some sort of signing picture or such very soon.

Stuart and Rick , this is fantastic that you guys took the time to meet for the banner transfer. Participating in signing the banner is a fun activity, but taking the time (when possible) to meet with other TGer is definitely way more fulfilling.
There is no deadline for the banner travel, so the fact that you are taking it yourself is quire generous, as Rick did.
I am really happy that it is working out
Regarding your comment about the restaurant, can you tell us about it (name, location, restaurant theme)
Cheers guys

Hi folks
As you may know - I now have the TG banner. I collected it from Rick yesterday afternoon at an official "Passing the Tube" ceremony. On second thoughts, maybe we should come up with a better name
It was great to meet Rick - my first TG person to person. Although we didn't get a chance to play our guitars (don't think the diners at the restaurant would have appreciated that!) we had a very pleasant chat before heading off in opposite directions.....me, to return to work and him to continue his holiday. No, of course I wasn't envious!!
I'd like to thank Rick for taking the time to travel north and get the banner to me. I have attempted to attach a photograph of the handover.....but I have very little faith that I'll have managed it successfully!

Hope you like the ecclesiastical feel!

The restaurant was called Legs of Man. I kid you not. I just checked their website which starts, without a hint of irony - "When you visit Legs of Man, you're in for a treat". Who am I to argue! For anyone wishing to book, I attach the web address - http://www.legsofman.co.uk/
The meeting was scheduled for 1400hrs on Friday 8th July. I got there at 1345hrs and Rick was late. Hmmmph. Some rotten excuse about the motorway being closed. And as you can see from the picture - he was totally under dressed - I was happy to be able to bring a hint of gravitas to the occasion. The photograph was taken by a barmaid whose name I didn't get

So if the banner is going to Scotland, will it be still in Britain or in the UK ... since its leaving England?

"Legs of Man," huh? Sounds like it might have been just the right location for the "Passing the Tube" ceremony, after all!
I loved the pic, and your description made me laugh! Can't wait to get the banner myself.
