Makes me wonder how acoustic bass players can use tuners--unless they plug in or there are tuners specific to basses.I've noticed that tuners often can't pick up the low E easily. What often works is to pick the harmonic (on the 12th fret) of the low E when tuning.
That's a good question. I don't own a bass guitar. I wonder if it's different for an electric bass, where you could plug in an inline tuner, vs an acoustic or upright where you might use a tuner with a microphone or one that clips to the headstock or body.
