was just curious, old lesson on second verse where you have Bm replacing second G chord
first verse
GGCG
second,third verse
GBmCG
I have noticed on some other tab sites they have it as
GEmCG
sound wise it doesnt seem to bad, as Em is part of the beginning of the song.
just curious as to why other use Em instead of Bm
CCR Who Will Stop the Rain
Hey mate, hope you don't mind me jumping in with an opinion here. When it comes to the accuracy of chords...I'll back Neil any day. But can I suggest that some sites/individuals replace Bm with Em simply because Bm is a more difficult chord? There are plenty of dudes around with instructional videos who will always show open chord options over barre chords because they are catering to those who are relatively new to guitar and haven't yet mastered barre chords. Just an opinion, could be wrong.
Yes mate you missed the point. Have been playing Neils way for over two years. Iwas wondering if it had to do with key theory.....since song starts out GGEmEmG G
The little base run is GF#E so i assume were in key G scale or Em pentatonic
So are the Bm and Em interchangeable?

Well, Em is the relative minor of G, and Who'll Stop the Rain is in the key of G, so maybe the people are just guessing it's Em instead of Bm since Em is what you often get with G (Bm is the relative minor of D), and since you play the Em in the intro.
yes understand this, just curious as I just saw the chords posted that way recently after playing Neils way for about 2 yrs, but in reality I tried it this other way and I could really hear the difference other than a little darker sound with the Bm.
