Hey Gang,
Nesh has put together a lesson on When I Need You by Albert Hammond.
When I Need You is a beautiful ballad co-written and recorded by singer-songwriter-producer Albert Hammond and appears on his 1976 album of the same name.
It has been covered by many artists, such as Julio Iglesias, Celine Dion, Rod Stewart, Randy Crawford, Cliff Richard and Leo Sayer. For the latter it became a massive hit worldwide when released in 1977.
This lesson teaches Albert Hammond's as well as Leo Sayer's version.
The biggest difference is the key. So for that we break down all the chords in the key of G (Capo III) and the key of C (Capo I).
Other than that we take a look at the strumming in 6/8 and go through the progression and arrangement.
