Lesson from Nesh today: Outside by Staind.
Staind is an American rock band from Massachusetts, formed in 1995, who was most successful in the early 2000's.
The power ballad Outside, taken from their 3rd studio album 'Break the Cycle' (2001) is surely a fans favorite.
This lesson teaches the rhythm guitar part, as done by lead vocalist Aaron Lewis, with all strings tuned down a half step.
We also break down the lead guitar part, as performed in the intro/interlude and throughout the verses. Keep in mind that lead guitarist Mike Mushok plays this with a specific guitar as well as a specific tuning, which we leave for now. Instead we stay in Eb-standard tuning and take a look at two different ways to play the same notes.
