Well I am back on a possible Gordon Lightfoot kick. Today it is Rainy Day People.
Rainy Day People is one of Gordon Lghtfoot's most popular, and catchy tunes. It first appeared on his 1975 album Cold On The Shoulder. It simply uses four chords in the key of G Major, along with a basic strumming pattern, mostly hitting two bass notes in each measure and strumming softly on beats two and four.
The lesson includes adding some passing bass notes, as heard in the original, and the short melodies played in the intro, along with a second guitar harmony.
There is also a look at a way to add the half-verse solo played as verse three
