Thanks for the positive comments. My next step is to learn how to record video & audio on an Imac. After that I will give it a go..

If you have a copy of iMovie, you can easily record video and audio. You won't get great sound through your iMac's built-in mic, but it's better than nothing.

I called Apple support and they indicated I should try Photo Booth which comes on the Imac. I have an interface that allows me to plug my acoustic guitar directly into Garageband for the sound. So when I get up the nerve to record myself I'll take a shot at it. Thanks for the reply.

There have been some reports of Photo Booth flipping the image. That's why I recommended iMovie.

I'll give PhotoBooth a try this weekend and see how it goes. I am new to all this Mac stuff coming from a PC.
