Hi Neil, I'am a newbie at you're web-site and really like you're web-site and how you teach over the internet. I have been playing for about 9 months now. I have a question regarding you're lesson on Who'll Stop the Ranin by CCR. When you leave you're pinky on the G on the 6th string and do that walk down from the G chord to the E minor I noticed that you still stay in form when you form you're E minor. What happens to me is that if I do it I get a buzzing sound from open G string which is caused by the middle finger touching the string. Any how, what I was wondering, are there differences in the width in the neck on different guitars. The one I'am currently playing on is A Taylor model 110. Thanks again. Keep up the great work. Ron

Hi Ron welcome to the site from Montreal Canada. When you have a chance you should go to the thread "Please introduce yourself" to give some information about yourself and your music taste.

I am not familiar with that lesson, but i will bump it up so maybe somebody will have an answer for you. I am sure a Taylor expert ( maybe Bear?) or a Martin expert (TGMandolin Mike)should be able to give you some hint.

Yes guitars come with different neck sizes.
The standard size is about 43mm.
A lot of fingerpicking guitarists have a wider neck (about 45mm) as this makes it easier to get a clear sound from each string.

Your problem is more likely to be to do with your left hand position. There are some videos where Neil discusses the correct position.
Make sure this is correct and all the strings shouldring out.
