The tone of the guitar is captured well, but there's quite a lot of white noise.

I think it was the Air conditioner.
I was blessed with a newer notebook computer and it has a built in webcam and mic.

I agree with the previous comment. The guitar tone was solid. If it is just the A/C, then that's an easy fix..
