Yup Graham guilty as charged, The Lord Of the Rings country is very cool the hobbit town is being rebuilt for the Hobbit movie and they are opening it to the public this timeHi neverfoundthetime -- what a great label much better than just a name , I shall have to come up with one for myself... Excuse my ignorance - I presume Chas is from Chasplaya ?. NZ what a great place to live ,,, some scenery simillar to Scotland but on a much grander scale ( thinking os some of the Lord of the rings scenes).

Yes Graham, Chas is Chasplayer alias Kermit (gets complicated at this point) living in NZ. Reminds me of a line from John Mellencamp: "....sent a post card from a better place".
My nickname reveals my music taste and personal habits, I'm afraid! I'm as Sassanach (with Scouse part-origins but no accent) who sends post cards from a better place these days... Switzerland. Very pleased to meet you at the forum!

Welcome Graham! Thanks for stopping by. How do you like the HD28? That's great that you play in clubs and get that kind of experience. I would still be chicken at this point. Maybe someday....Hi , my name is Graham and I am from Scotland, live close to a town called Lanark. I have been a target member for a few months and up until now have never really looked at forum stuff --- my loss. Lots of good info and support. I have two acoustic guitars, A
Martin HD28, A Yairi ( great for fingerpicking ). I also own a Les Paul but very rarely use it.
I play music with by brother and two singers who really now how to do harmonies, we play for fun at various clubs and do a wide variety of material - Neil Young, Indigo girls, Fleetwood Mac, Sheryl Crow as well as some folk material from Scotland, England and Ireland. Playing with people and in fromt of people really pushes you up the learing curve....
Cheers for now,,

Welcome Graham,
Kermie (Chas) is the semi-official welcome wagon but I like to say hello when I can. You're going to love spending time here. We are looking forward to everyone posting short vids of them playing. I hope to see some of yours. (I hope to find time to make some myself! LOL)

Wow! Hi Chris! I just got myself a Martin D12X1 too & am really impressed by the sound. I wasn't sure this guitar would sound any good, but while waiting in the music store for my old 12 string to get a pin put in, I tried it out. And took it home.
I'm just new here today myself so I'll have some catching up to do.
Hi to everyone else reading too.

Hello GingerJake, welcome to the TG Forum. There are a lot of great people here, just don't fall in with the ne'er-do-wells.
(Even the ne'er-do-wells here are pretty good people too.)
If you have any questions, please ask and if you have any tips, please share them with the rest of us.
Again, glad you are here.
