I much prefer the other notation:
T = Thumb
1 = First Finger
2 = Second Finger
3 = Third Finger
4 = Pinky Finger

PIMA is standard right hand fingering notation for classical music. 1234 is used for left hand fingering. I think the idea is to have different notations for each hand to avoid confusion when annotating both hands in the music.

Andy, you need to read up on Classical techniques, PIMA and 1234 naming of fingers is standard. Also used in Flamenco playing. You can actualy learn a lot by reading about playing style gives you another string to your bow...

I'm lucky to have as much time as I do for guitar and related things. If I get time, I might do that since I like to read anyway. And Chas can keep that hat. Having a big furry horned thing on my head is not something I would be comfortable with.

I get this great visual image of Chas, sitting on top of a small hill in the newly reconstructed Hobbit Village in Kiwiland, with the Grand Poo-Bah headdress on, typing furiously on his laptop trying to get to 2000!!!!

As they say, "It doesn't get any better 'an this!" :lol:
