For most countries, copyright on sound recordings is usually for the life of the author plus 70 years. Legal actions for copyright infringement are seldom filed unless YOU are making a profit off of SOMEONE ELSE's/b] work. Lawyers rule the world!

... not only the world! A guy I know started a boys band here and actually got them to Nr. 1... made a fortune, lost a fortune. He was telling me the contracts include clauses about broadcasts inside the solar system or anywhere inside the universe .... apparently it gets really bizar in those contracts. Not sure if songs belong "in all eternity" but I bet they'll have that covered too.

its a grey area..if the video is not mass seen, and your not directly making a profit from it, then it can "pass".,...so, I think were fine...their are thousands maybe millions of videos on youtube that do exactly this,..including the one were competing against...and the worst step is that we are asked to pull it down, or it is pulled down by youtube..so , I wouldnt be concerned with it, especially considering teh context where we are really promoting music and buying it..more on that soon..

Willem,

Nice work! You certainly dug up some obscure music as well. I had totally forgotten about a couple of those tunes.

Thanks for all the time and effort you put in. If the guitar career doesn't turn into an income stream, you might consider film work.

All the best,

Neil
