1949 Steve Gaines (guitarist: Lynyrd Skynyrd) (d 10/20/77, age 28, in the same crash that killed the group’s lead singer Ronnie VanZant, and backup singer Cassie Gaines, Steve’s older sister)
1950 Paul Kossoff (guitarist: Free) (d 3/18/76, age 25) One of my all time favourite guitarists
1954 Barry Cowsill (singer: The Cowsills) (d 8/30/05, age 50, in Hurricane Katrina)
1959 Morten Harket (singer/songwriter: A Ha)

Roy Acuff was a very well known country singer/guitar player back in the day. I remember watching him on the Grand 'Ole Opry many times.
