I have been using the Drums in place of the metronome for about a week now and I find it much better. It sounds more musical if you know what I mean.

I have a program on my computer that has a built in drum machine and I use that when I remember. I also have a four track recording machine and I will record 1 track with the drums and then overdub the guitar part. It is a great way to force yourself to play in time and then listen back to see how it sounds.

I also use the four track to overdub other guitar parts (capoed to various frets or barre chords over open chords) a great way to learn timing and play around with guitar arranging.

hey Rick, in time i will ask you about that program, but first,''you record on your computer''???
No, I don't record on my computer because I have no interface and way to do it now. I have an old Tascam Portastudio that I use. I have a recording program called Reason that has the drums and I record that onto the Portastudio.

It's so 1980s, lol, but it works.

I have Acoustica Beatcraft. A great drum machine on my computer. I can program a track and then export it as an MP3 or use it as a midi. Good stuff. But not being a drummer, I have a hard time deciding what sounds to program in. Maybe I'll get Bear to help me out. I understand he loves drums...
