Not so much a group, more like a trio - now that you're here!
welcome!

Introduction from Glasgow, Scotland
Well I'm not Scot but I am Gary from Northern California, the state is so long we have to divide it in half, it's not good enough to say you are from CA. Love to visit your part of the world & if you ever get a chance to visit the US head srtaight to San Diego California, and don't miss the Taylor guitar factory tour while you are there. Gary

Chas is an exiled scot, sailing under a flag of convenience nowadays (NZ). But i'm sure when he posts his video he'll still have that east coast twang in his voice.Cool - we're in a band already then! Whose the other Scot?

Hello from Sacramento, California, USA. Glad to have you with us. B)Hello there fellow guitarists. I'm Carpet from Glasgow, Scotland. Do we have any other Glaswegians here? If so, tell me about yourself and your skill level etc.
I am the definition of an intermediate, but would love to master this thing.
Say hello anyway, it's good to meet you.
Hi Carpet, Jenny Wren here from Oban. I play in a wee ceilidh band from time to time with an accordion and a fiddle, great fun, nothing fancy but great craik, the music is cheery and its good to play for dancing. For past 2 years have playing double bass in the local strathspey and reel society, also great fun. Started playing guitar in 1st year high school aged 11, did grade 8 theory and practical classical guitar aged 17 and has been downhill ever since!! I'm now 48 (2ce your age) happily married with 2 grown up children (24 and 21)and a nephew who plays guitar at any opportunity and is a good player. I really enjoy playing and love the gentle sounds of the guitar, its versatility of being a solo or accompanying instrument, portability, and that its a relatively cheap instrument to buy and upkeep.
Give me a wee shout if you're up in Oban and maybe we could have a jam together. Sorry I'm in the wrong generation for you but somehow none of that seems to matter up here.
Anyway, good choice made by joining totally guitars, I find Neil Hogan a good, thorough, patient, methodical teacher who is easily understood and contactable.
.....how did the name Carpet come about?
