I really like that song and I thought you did a real good job. I have been trying it also, but I am having a bit of trouble with the D-Dmaj7-A- transition. You've given me some inspiration to get it done. Thanks

Bob
Bob, thanks for your comments. As you probably noticed I also had a bit of trouble getting to the D-DMaj7-A- transition also, although I've been playing it a bit better than on the video I think I'll just be happy I didn't have more unplanned events than I did. Neil sure makes it look easy. Oh well, keep on practicing as I will and maybe within the next month or so we can both make a vid of this song, it's a great song & i would like to give it another go but not for awhile. Gary

Very nice. Holding the guitar when sitting is not easy but I think you've found a placement that works for you. Good left hand position. The right hand could move a bit to be more angled to the strings. Really nice. Sounds like you've done some metronome work on this one.
A little more light would be good also.

Karma for your first vid!
I need to import some light in that particular part of the room. I used our Mexican made armoire sp? for our TV & audio components as a backdrop. Custom made in Tecate, Mexico, same place as Taylor Guitars has it's Mexico Factory. I think I need to make my guitar strap a bit longer also. I have to thank Neil for the timing as I had my laptop facing me /w earbuds & was playing along w/ Neil on the fast part on the metronome lesson for this song.

Hey Gary thumbs up my man! I was tapping my foot to your tune and enjoyed it. Great job and well done for posting it. Those hands of yours look pretty tough, what's your line of work?

I was thinking you might want to shorten your strap, not make it longer.

Way to go, Gary!! What you all might not realize is that Gary had to jump through huge hoops to get this online including buying and learning a brand new camera and calling Cannon tech support when it wouldn't upload to youtube.

All your time and effort paid off, Gary. First off (and most importantly), you played the song really well. Nice pace the whole way through.. and I liked the little improv at the end too!

Technically, I'd say the quality is really good too (both video and audio). I know it was a pain to get it uploaded, but will the next one be easier now that you know how to do it?

Looking forward to your full camera review in TG Techies!
And karma of course!!

Thanks Al for your help and support during my efforts to get my video to upload to YouTube. I really didn't want to give up and trade my videocam in for a more user friendly but no aux. mic feature which is important to me. Knowing that I have my TG buddies to support me helps give me more persistence than I would have on my own. Thanks for your kind words and I will get on the TG Techies for a full report. Gary

Good job Gary well done. Its been said about the mic being a bit close I think moving it back a bit might be good. And how do you manage with the body of the guitar angled like that , I mean the bottom sticking forward so the whole thing is angled, doesn't this make you have to stretch your left hand even further round the neck?. I tend to hold the body of the guitar flatter against my body, see my avatar.

What a good idea having Neil playing along via the ear buds, no better metronome than Neil

Congrats on gettin one up here keep em coming.

regards

Chas

Good going goldleaf

Right hand is really good. Going up and down with the beat just as Neil teaches.

Like Chas says the angle of the guitar is very tilted. Mine is tilted in the same way but not at such an angle. It will be interesting if Neil comments on this.

I think the sound is good. I find it hard to get a good tone when the chords go right up the neck.

I've got this song on my todo list now.

Which guitar from your extensive collection is that one.
