I'm really shocked. This thread is 2 hours old and Chas hasn't plugged Cole Clark yet! :)

I'm with you TOVO, If you want to get a response on this forum just bring up something like - my old guitar just broke so I'm looking for a replacement for around ($XXX) and you will get all kinds of responses. Often the person asking the questions is fairly new and never responds but that doesn't stop us from giving advice up the kazoo. Buy the way Slumdog If you are looking for a Tacoma as was mentioned in one of the posts I have one I can let go pretty close to your price range. It's a beauty and has a beautiful case worth $200 alone, cutaway/w electronics, Mint cond. Get it while it's hot. (not that kind of hot). Gary

Tiny- OMG!!! That's hysterical!!

Chas where are you buddy? If you don't get in here quick and plug Cole Clark we'll have these guys heading down to buy another Taylor? I'd hate to have even more very satisfied Taylor owners running around this forum!! :silly:

Hi Slumdog great to meet you here and nice to see you are an optimistic man of good humour and produced the predictable resposes from our resident guitar reps. :-)
A guitar that sounds like Neil's for $500? Yeah! That's what I need. Trouble is, it's not only the boutique guitar he's playing for 10 Grand, it's the way he plays it! We all want one that sounds like THAT. I think Bear has it right with Seaguls and Taks... the guitars I was looking at today were another sort... I'll take that story to the Buying a guitar thread and not steel your show here. See you around.

....and Bear that's too funny, calling Tony Tim. BigBear and TinyTim.... this could stick!

SLUMDOG, although you have to be very careful, there are some excellent buys on eBay and other auction sites these days. The economy has forced many musicians to part with some very fine instruments at very low prices. Do your homework and check a lot of sites before you part with your money. If you find something you like, I also suggest that you use an escrow service to protect yourself.

This a very similar model, has the cutaway, Tacoma Dm9. This one lists for around $1,200, the one I have has electronics and a nice $200 case but the cost is ($650) plus shipping, which is wholesale price, lists for $1,650, selling for around 40% of list price. Check out this site. I'll see if I can find more pictures. Gary
