Are nylon stringed guitars better for predominantly finger style players?

I decided to see if I could pick up a cheap but reasonably good entry level nylon string guitar on eBay. That way if I can't get used to the extra width of the neck there's nothing lost. Here is one I'm looking at. It is a Yamaha G-60 A made by Nippon Gakki Co Ltd - sometime in the mid '70's. I've read a couple of reviews and they seem to be a solid guitar. I haven't and won't be taking a look at the actual guitar before purchase, so it's a gamble. They have sold for $80-$100 recently in AUstralia. But, I'm unlikely to offer no more than about $50 or so without see it. Any views on this make?

I haven't found any nylon stringed guitars with a think neck on eBay so I guess that will need to wait until I've decided that I'd like a nice one.

OK Chris - I'm confused? Are you referring to the ebay option? or the youtube videos?

BTW I love your new photo - you're a handsome man. With looks, playing ability and a voice like yours, you should be playing in public - acoustic cafes.

The Yamaha stands up quite well in these reviews.

Oh and cut it out with Chris, He won't fit into the small space we are allowed for our avatars if you say too much like that lol

Thanks Chas - and when we see your video (assuming we can see your face) or you change your avatar, I'll happy to send praise your way.

Chas - there you are.

Now why did it take you this long to show your face. You too are a good looking man. Nice hair cut too. I've just had mine cut crazy short. Hairdresser went a bit berserk with the clippers. So we'll be matching. Bit short for my liking (mine) - it's hair it'll grow - it'll be fine in a couple of weeks. You might just see it shortly as I'm thinking of recording 'Dust in the Wind' - already nervous. I just didn't want to shock you too much - I've seen your profile page - 'the women must have long hair' rule.

Anyway great to see you smiling face!

M
