Neil,

This is GOTOHAVEMORETIME. ACOUSTIC PLAYER-MOSTLY RYTHME. Tryin to pick but it's hard to break old habits. I say COLIN HAY recently (LEAD SINGER FOR MEN AT WORK).
He has releast several solo albums in the last 4 years. I saw him totally acoustic 3 months ago. The gut is brilliant. I think some of his songs would be a welcomed addition to your stash of songs..for beginners and advanced.

Songs like-LIFLINE,BABY CAN I SEE YOU TONIGHT,BEAUTIFUL WORLD..MANY OTHERS
CHECK HIM OUT..I THINK YOU WILL AGREE. ALSO HOW BOUT SOME RAY DAVIES BALLADS...WATERLOO SUNSET..GREAT SONG. lOWELL GEORGE-MISSIN YOU ANOTHER GREAT SONG.

BEING AN ACTOR IN THE MOVIE BIZ FOR 33 YEARS I KNOW THE TECH SIDE..I BELIEVE..TO GET ALL THESE REQUESTS UP.... BUT I JUST THOUGHT I WOULD THROW IN MY 2 CENTS. YOU GUYS ARE DOING A GREAT JOB BY THE WAY,,KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

YOU HAD SENT ME AN E-MAIL A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO WANTING TO KNOW ABOUT THE NEW EXPLANATION THAT YOU DO WITH THE CURSOR POINTING TO WHATS WHAT...EXCELLENT ADDITION.

I HAVE BEEN ON THIS SITE FOR ABOUT 3 TO 4 MONTHS AND STILL CANT FIGURE IT ALL OUT..(NOT MUCH OF A COMPUTOR GUY)

WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID..THE ONLY LITTLE STICKING POINT TO THIS SITE WOULD BE MORE
SELECTIONS OF SONGS..YEAH..I KNOW YOU HEAR IT ALL THE TIME. THATS MY TIME..YOU DON'T NEED TO READ A BOOK...

THANKS FOR IT ALL NEIL. AT 54 I HAVE SEEN IT ALL...THIS IS THE BEST QUITAR SITE ON THE BLOCK..

SINCERELY,

JOE PENNY--GOTTOHAVETIME

Riptide Joe Penny?

By the way Joe, If you type in all caps IT MEANS YOU ARE YELLING! See the difference?
I happened to hear Colin Hay on the radio the other day. I have not heard any of his new stuff. Do you have a YouTube link for any of it we can check out?

Joe,
Since you said you're not a computer guy, I thought I'd post a couple for you.

I forgot about this one...

We add songs every week or lessons..so the selection will always be growing, we get maybe 100 suggestions + week, and if Neil were never to sleep we would still never be able to catch up..since we are putting an average of 2-6 lessons up a week and will be for a while with what we have in the pipeline, this is way beyond our original 4-6 a month...not sure what more to say here..we get em up as we can..

Overkill is a song I requested the week I met Neil, and it is a great tune to learn power chords..the short is on the site..go to the menu look on the left.

Cheers

You are Riptide / Jake and the Fatman Joe Penny. Very cool. Nice to meet you.

Neil decides which songs to make lessons by what we can learn from it. If it has an unusual strumming pattern or weird chord arrangement or something it is more likely to move up in the list.

Neil has closed down the request line for the rest of 2009 because he is so backlogged. But when he opens it back up be ready with your request and why it would be a good lesson.

Here is the Overkill lesson Matt was talking about.

The only acting I ever do is to act like I know what I'm doing.
