In the song as Neil plays it on Target, he does this great little 3 or 4 note base walk-down thing when he's strumming the "G" chord during the intro. I've tried every way possible to see where he's changing his fingers to on the frets when he does it, but I can't seem to catch it. I think it adds a lot to that part of the song and I wish I could see it. I've got the rest of the song nailed but I can't quite get that little base thing right. Can you explain the fretting for that somehow?
Thanks!
"Still The Same" base melody during "G"
I didn't do it on my video and everyone's right it adds to the song. I did see Al's way and I think its on the D string 3 fret, 2nd fret and open D at least that is what I have been trying. I had also tried strumming the G chord then a G7, then a G6 and back to the G.
Good Luck, I am still trying
