there is no reason we can't do both. You can easily extract the audio content from the video. Besides it will take me longer to get the picture in picture/fades right with video editing than it will for anyone else to mix them in whatever software they choose.

OK thank again for all the input. Looks like Heart of Gold is the choice for the 1st effort but as Wandoctor has said there's absolutely no reason we can't follow on with other popular choices should this all come together so tunes like Harvest Moon and other suggestions can be follow on options.

OK so...Heart of Gold. We are going to need some clarity on exactly what each participant is required to record and send and how, but there's time for that.

My 1st need is to find out who is keen, and set some target dates. So for example I am happy to put my pick where my mouth is, but I don't know currently know the tune. I'm sure there are others in that boat and those who know it but need to brush up at least.

I personally see no need to rush this, I'd rather get good participation and a reasonable job. Can I suggest that we set a target date of Jan 15 (Friday in the USA) for getting the tune down?

We need players for the rhythm, I understand Reiver and Willem will contribute harmonia (is that right guys?) and Chris will sing (any other vocalists keen?) Anyone else keen to contribute instrumental sections?

OK I know this is a long process but I find it hard to coordinate people in the same room let alone around the world.

As always comments welcome but ideally I'd like agreement on the initial timeline and indications from keen participants.

That's nice isn't it Wrench? The drumming doesn't look too hard! We need the backup singers as well.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm gone for a big chunk of January, so it looks like I'll have to sit this one out. Looking forward to seeing the finished product though..

Tony, as you're recruiting singers, you might be interested to hear that a new female TARGET member likes to sing (hint hint Tammy). We have a few male voices, but I think this is the first of the ladies that I recall.

Good tip mate thanks. Tammy if you're game you will be most welcome to participate. I think Chris is a bit of the ladies man as well so a duet could turn a Heart of Gold to Hearts rapidly beating!

hhhhhaaaaaaaaahhhhhhaaaaa

So I got it all figured out now

so Im starting all over again gesh

Wow you have to be very carful what you say in passing around here some pick up very quickly LOL (cough cough wrench) Im impressed how your all so trusting I said "I loved to sing" i didn't say I could hahahaha. I've been keeping a very interested eye on this but I wasn't to sure you would want newbie. All that said "I'M IN" Not to sure that there is much back up vocals beig sung on Harvest Moon but I have sung it many a times with the small group I hang and jam with. Must look into making a video of some sort.
