I've been working on the rhythm. Nothing worth recording, yet. Slugging away...

Sorry- I'll plan to do on the 7th. I have a few little questions about that, but it'll have to wait until next week. Both my daughter and husband are sick, and I'm crazy busy trying to get ready for Xmas guests, plus we got snow yesterday so I was shoveling most of the day. Not to spew, just explaining my absence. I'll be more focused hopefully at the beginning of next week.

So far, I have managed to set up to record audio from my bass to my computer. Now I can start practicing the music.

I will start by using a guitar-pro tab to get the feel of the song, then I will mute the bass track and play along. I should be ready for the reference track when it arrives.

Suzi,

I hope your family get well soon, in time for Christmas celebrations.

Thanks all for the replies. I hope that Wandoctor can get a reference tune up soon, nothwithstanding the festive season is well and truly upon us and our collective focus is lekely to be elsewhere for the next week or so.

Wandoctor it would be great to hear from you with an indicative timing for the reference track. Thanks mate.

Suzi, while your little daughter may have to rely on more traditional medicine, here's something for your husband;

Into a large glass, add one and a half shots of Crown Royal,

add 1/4 cup of hot water,

add another one and a half shots of Crown Royal,

squeeze the juice of 1/4 of a lemon into the glass,

add another one and a half shots of Crown Royal,

add one tablespoon of honey to the mix,

add another one and a half shots of Crown Royal and mix thoroughly...

oops, that's the full engineer's dosage, better cut back the mixture to just one shot of Crown Royal for him.

It will make him feel better.

Bill- Hey, that's the best kind of traditional medicine there is! Coincidentally enough, I just made him one (though, admittedly, with only one healthy shot of brandy)! He swears that my "hot toddies" always make him feel better, though that's probably just because they help him to sleep :)

I hope they are both feeling better soon Suzi. And I am a believer in the hot toddy too. They work and they are less expensive than prescriptions. :)

Hot Toddie = Whiskey, Honey and Lemon. Good stuff. Helps you sleep and opens you up so you can breathe. And Honey is a natural antibiotic as well.

I don't drink anymore, but this is actually good medicine.

Suzi - I hope your daughter and husband are feeling better soon and that you don't have to continue to do everything at this busy time of year. And Merry Christmas to all you folk that celebrate it.
