How were you blessed today?

A friend and I were just on our nightly walk around the neighborhood. We were at a crosswalk when we both saw an elderly man step out directly in front of a car. Instantly we yelled and the man stopped and the drivers window was down so she heard us also and stood on the brakes.

The man did not die. The woman is fine and we were blessed to save a life.

That was our blessing today. What was your's?

Andy, sometimes we are on automatic pilot and don't realize that we are in general a bunch of sleep-walkers. I've kept people from being run down as they were walking past me into moving traffic with just "watch it!". Not that I'm so wide-awake, I'm just less good at remembering when I myself was at fault. I was of course proud that I was not too self-absorbed to help when these events occurred.
