Cool...do you two ever play together, that would be cool. Personally I think my wife would like to...I notice since I have gotten back into guitar she now sings more. Personally I think she is just resisting the urge to play something.Awesome guitar, Stuart. Like everyone else, I can't wait to hear it. In order to get my latest guitar I let my wife buy a drum set.
It's nice to see that you went with the '59 Reissue. The long neck tenon, ABR-1 bridge, aluminum tailpiece, ’57 Classic pickups, etc, really make a big difference in capturing the vintage vibe of the original 335. The holly headstock veneer is a nice aesthetic touch as well.
The ES-335 just may be the most versatile electric guitar ever made. And that's coming from a Les Paul guy. B)
Good score, man. Enjoy it...

Maybe I missed something, did you get this baby Stuart?
I have the Epiphone Riviera, although mine is now classed as Vintage with the exception of the tailpiece they are virtually identical. If you got it you need a tube amp or an amp that simulates tube amps to get that real blues sound, easy for me to say with my solid state Fender lol...
Heres mine:
The clour is crap in the pic its the same as yours Cherry red.
I guarantee you won't regret acquiring this Chicago Bluesy Lady... Get onto BB kings now man... the 'Thrill is gone' great song on this but all wrong as the Thrill never goes

Hi Chas,
Yes, I did. I ordered it from the states, though, so will have to wait until Monday for it to arrive.
That Epiphone Riviera is lovely. I don't think I've seen a tailpiece quite like that before. I see what you mean about the colour not coming out in the photo.
I have a little 5W tube amp that I've had modified -- details in Dennis' thread on electric amps.
I'll upload a song as soon as I have a chance. I'm moving a lot more into the blues now, which is part of the reason for this purchase, but I've lusted after one of these for a very long time. Who knows... maybe I will try some warship music too.
