I'm NOT selling all of my guitars - I've sold them and picked up this!

Mazel tov, Tony! Fantastic guitar. Are you getting rid of the Les Paul?

Tony- you've got G.A.S. in a bad way!! lol! Stunning guitar! But aren't you going to support Cole Clark? ;)

Can't wait to hear more about this! :cheer:

Al the Silent Guitar survived the cut...but the Les Paul is gone. No doubt I will replace that at some point. The Taylor and Larrivee are also on the chopping block. Sad, but I can only play one at a time and I have found that the others just tend to sit while I play my favourite. The Taylor GA will fill the position of favourite quite nicely.

Thanks Chris. One interesting point (at least I find it interesting but I'm very easy on myself) is that I have played so many guitars in my local store that I feel I'm totally over the shyness we have spoken about in another thread, you know the feeling that "Oh I'm not a good enough player to pick this up". I don't feel nervous anymore and I'm able to just play and focus on assessing the feel and sound of the instrument instead of wondering what everyone thinks of my playing.

So, I think that like everything, with practice and repetition you get over the worry of playing in front of staff and customers. I still don't like the stores where a staff member comes and sits with you the whole time cause they are worried you will break something I guess but i find that annoying.

Tony:

I completely understand what you mean about the others sitting while you play your favorite..... B)

I have found though, that if I am working on a song in an alternate tuning, I can leave one of the others in that alternate tuning to make practice sessions more fun...... :)

Food for thought.... :)

I probably should sell a few of mine as well, but I have grown quite fond of them for some odd reason.

You mean some of you have actually experienced stores where salespeople come and sit with you while you play the guitars? I've never experienced that, and I can tell you I probably wouldn't like it.

Hi MJ, yeah I still have my Taylor Big Baby which is good for alternate tuning. Actually my son and his mates often play it so it spends a lot of time in the very interesting alternate tuning of GDBEAB or something similar. I am a bit sad to lose the others but really I can't justify continuously adding to the number of guitars I have and didn't have the money I need for the Taylor Koa just sitting around.
