Great that this is catching on!

@TGMatt, the idea was to keep these on this thread as it makes a great thread which all members can be a part of and can be on-going over months. Posting to the student channel will creat a new thread for each vid posted and pull this thread apart. I'm thinking that we can do the same with Simon & Garfunkel, The Stones... you name it! And it would be good if we can help Tg out there on the tube and in Facebook etc.
Is there a way we can pull this off?
Can we post at the TG channel and then copy paste here?
Chris

Thanks for the Loonies Al!

Michele, you'll have to explain the concept of going away on holiday without guitar to me... it won't fit into my tiny brain! :-)
Hope you find one.... er guitar not brain!

I hope we have lots of contributions and that this thread becomes a long distance runner!
Chris - This thread is already looking good and shows every indication that it will be a great, long-term success. I can't wait to hear the posts.

Re: not bring a guitar on holidays, it was a hard decision, but the nightmare of the airline wrecking one of my gorgeous guitars won out in the end. Besides we already had enough luggage to cart around. One day I may treat myself to a travel guitar. I also have another week off at home, so I'll be playing plenty then.

Great thread concept!

Michele (swimming, relaxing, eating good food...then more of the same - it's rough but someone's got to do it).

That's what I was getting at-- post to one, then copy it to the other.

One thing I thought of though--
I'm personally not looking for (nor do I expect) a review from Neil with EVERY upload I do. It would be nice, but two things-- I know he's only one person and his time is finite, and also sometimes I just like to post something for fun.

So- is it an issue to post things to the Student Review Channel that we don't necessarily want reviewed? If we'd actually prefer a particular video NOT be reviewed, that would potentially save time and effort on Neil's part from weeding through things. Maybe there's a way to differentiate a 'for fun video' vs. a 'for review video'?

Don't get me wrong. I've benefited HUGELY from Neil's reviews that he's done on my uploads so far..
Did I esssplain myself correctly?

Edit-- why do i think i've just put myself on the 'bottom of the pile'? :S

No I'm with you All, some video's are for fun and others when reviewed are highly appreciated, but I think the TG-team knows how to differentiate that...on the other hand, I think that even video's wich are originally uploaded for fun can teach a lot of people, because fun makes people relax and does certain things wich we all want to accomplish...we play better when we relax and when we're having fun! ;)

Yes Vanessa, you're right. I thought of that after I wrote it-- the fact that even if we're uploading for fun- there may be things that everyone can learn from the upload.
BTW- Great job on your upload(s)!

Chris- sorry to de-rail this cool idea.

As you were...

OK, here's my Beatles attempt. Their songs tend to be a bit out of my vocal range - I think I need a bag of ice after reaching for some of those high notes in the chorus.

Exactly!

This is a fun thing, shooting from the hip and anyone can go for it... the more the merrier. Matt is working on a solution.

Good job Jeff!

Particularly the strumming with the mutes and all, wich is not very easy when you play open chords, very well done!

Just popping in to say how much I'm enjoying all of these contributions! They've all been great fun. I also love Chris's idea of having a thread dedicated to a certain group, and people contributing songs from their catalogue.
