Ness,

OMG(ess)!! WOW!!!!! I've watched it a few times now and more to come. That was REALLY powerful! Great choice. Great song. Awesome playing. Wonderful performance.

I don't know if I'd ever be able to sing it, especially like that with such feeling, but I'd love the tab. I'll PM you my email address if you don't mind.

And you know Otis' version was great. But, I enjoyed yours' more.

Thank you SO much for taking up the challenge. And if you've got a desire to do more, just keep them coming, whenever that might happen.

Guess which song I'll have in my head today.

WOW!

Michele - sweating at Christmas - just how it should be here - off to cook turkey and roast veges (crazy!)

Now thát's quite an interesting list you've got there!

You and Bon Jovi, I would néver have suspected that, haha :P (actually, I love playing Bon Jovi-tunes)! And Kiss, Guns and Roses? All great songs though!

And Heart? I love that band, well actually I love their acoustic performance 'On the Road Home', if you've never seen it, you really shóuld! And Nancy Wilson, I just lóve her guitarplaying and she sings great as well, did you ever hear her cd 'Live at McCabe's Guitarshop'? You should listen to that one as well, trust me, it's just gréat, just her singing and playing! ......

Hmmm...who knows what's in my closet! ;)

Rock ballads are great! Name a few???!!!! Haha! I am só curious! :P

OK. How about a ballad? Maybe a rock ballad. There are some great ones around.

If this has you thinking 'nah I don't want to do a ballad', then I've helped to narrow the field as well. It's all good.

OK some of these don’t completely fit the rock ballad criteria (but slow them down a little and there you have it), but here goes:

Angie - Stones
Wild horses - Stones
More than Words - Extreme
Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
I was made for lovin’ you baby - Kiss
Sweet child o’ mine - Guns and Roses
This ‘aint a love song - Bon Jovi
In these arms - Bon Jovi
Love Hurts - Joan Jett
Everything I do - Bryan Adams
Somebody to Love - Queen
Love of my Life - Queen
What about Love - Heart

Take me back to the big haired ‘80s.

I’m sure I’m missing some really obvious ones.

I can't wait to hear your song.

Hi Everyone,

I'm cheating here a little, but I figured that most people would have a love song in their song book.

I was inspired to learn this after hearing Kevin's gorgeous version. Mine is by no means perfect. I've loaded it warts and all, but we're busking here right?

I've used a very simple picking pattern following Neil's free lesson. It's a beautiful song and one day I will learn the version on the album (both parts).

I am of course singing to my Sue. But, I've been thinking about all of our TG family members and their loved ones who are going through a hard time at the moment. My heart goes out to you all.

Love

Michele

PLEASE NOTE: If video was recently uploaded it will not work yet. YouTube will need a little more time to get the video ready. Please check back again soon.

Very well played, and so heartfelt, Michele. Nice that you also dedicated it to fellow TG friends going through tough times.
I am looking forward to a happy ditty from you next, though...

Another winner, Vanessa!

Every song I see you play makes me want to learn it.

Thanks for posting.

When it comes to love songs, and especially ones for guitar, this one never fails to touch me.

Bill - Thanks. I love seeing those clapping hands. They always make me smile.

Al - Thanks - I'm glad you liked. I'm working on happy songs too (even if just to make Tony gag), but the emotional ones are so damn attractive. I've been loving your recent posts.

Andy - That is a beautiful song. I would like to learn it some day. Are you working on it?

OK...I have to admit there was no Bon Jovi in my collection (until yesterday). I may never learn to play one of their songs, but I enjoy listening when I'm in the right mood. Guns and Roses also wasn't in my collection, but still a great song. Queen is just very cool. Kiss reminds me of high school. Actually, a lot of the songs on the list remind me of other selves / other times/ other lives.

Nancy Wilson is amazing. I've watched a few you tube videos and interview(s) with her. I'll check out the albums you suggested. Thanks for the recommendations.

I actually started learning 'More than Words' and then got distracted by a new song. I'll definitely be going back to it. It's not really a happy song either, but it sure is beautiful. I do need to broaden my playing style.

I'm rambling...

Thanks

M.

Michelle,

Yes, I am working on Longer. It's a long term project for me though. Someday I'll have it down enough to record it and share.
