Suzi,

Well I'm looking at the snow falling here in NH and this performance was such a nice surprise. I've been a fan of the Uke for a long time but always from a distance. I'd always say someday I'd like to get one and try it out. Well after watching this that "some ay" may bee soon. I've always enjoyed your videos but this one goes to the top. You've played much more difficult songs on the guitar but this had so much joy in it. You can see how much fun you are having and its just so great to see and hear. Thanks for sharing.

Kevin- Thank you for your kind words. I did have a fun time learning this song and making this video. Really glad you enjoyed!

Mark- The uke I'm playing wasn't a high-end uke, but it also wan't the bottom of the barrel. It's a Kala, but they make a wide range of instruments. I tried some at the music store which had a great sound and are still relatively affordable (I think the most expensive I saw was one for around $400, though I'm sure it's possible to pay far more). This one was less than $100. A fairly minor splurge for something so fun.

Hi Suzi,

For what its worth I think Tony is totally wrong about your guitar shrinking, in my opinion its you that's grown in stature.

Given the short space of time you took to learn that and then sing-along just amazes me. You are becoming quite a natural in front of the camera, building in confidence every time.

Really neat way to encourage your daughter, she must be really proud of Mummy.

Thanks for watching, Chas, and I'm really glad you enjoyed this. I'm hoping Emma will enjoy learning the uke. Right now the onus is on me to find time to sit down with her and go over the chords. She enjoys it when we do that together, and so do I, so I just need to make sure I keep at it.

Suzi

I just went through this Love Songs thread and discovered how many posted videos I missed. Vanessa, Chris and Suzi; they were very good. Hats off to Suzi for doing something new and different wtih that Ukelele bit, and re-watching Helen and Al's song was yet another treat this morning.
