Just a bit of fun here and a poll sparked by Mark's last post and the observation that its sometimes hard to know which lesson to learn next in TARGET and to stick to it without being distracted by another marshmallow. An experiment at Stanford showed 40 years ago that the ability of a 4 year old to resist eating a marshmallow for 15 minutes predicted future success in school and life and happiness to a significant degree. The experiment has been repeated with similar results using just 10 minutes .. which is still FOREVER for a small child. Anyway, when it comes to resisting the candy here at TG are you stronger than the marshmallow or do you find yourself giving in to instant gratification at the cost of failing to persist with that song you always wanted to nail down but ....?
Watch the videos and answer the poll. Tell the truth :
1: Yes I can resist the marshmallow (the TG Candy) and stick with a lesson til I have the song nailed
2. No, I have no willpower in the face of so many great lessons and I eat the marshmallow every time!
Poll above
In truth I need another option. Sometimes I eat the marshmellow, sometimes I nibble the marshmellow, sometimes I only eat half the marshmellow (or just the middle), sometimes I stare at the marshmellow and say 'you'll keep'. Damn marshmellow!
