Chris,
Thanks, I appreciate your watching and kind words. Yes, I've played sports my whole life...it wasn't my crooked ring finger on my left hand that gave it away was it? makes "A" shaped barre chords an adventure...Funny, I'm born and raised southern Californian! I think I just got nervous when I turned on the camera and my voice cracked! lol  Thanks again, Craig

Craig,

This is a great song you are playing here. Always loved the sound of the guiter in this song. You are well on your way. All the chords looked really good. Looks like the only thing to work on now is the strumming hand. Its great to see another video from you. Its been a long time. Classical Gas!!!!!!! Good for you. I'm really looking forward to that one. I'm not touching that with a 10 foot pole..............

Leuders, thanks for watching. Finger picking type songs are what drew me to the acoustic guitar in the first place, so that what I started with. However, now I'm caving in to the notion that I can't avoid strumming forever!
Thanks again.

Bob, I've always liked this song which actually consists of 9 parts! The part I was playing at the begining doesn't really belong there technically, but I like it so I just threw it in because it's such a big part of the sound of the song. I appreciate your encouragement.

Willem, Thank you my TG friend. The double barres are rough on me because my ring finger doesn't go straight....at least that's my excuse! I know I could use my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th finger but that's just as shakey as my crooked finger! I think I have a 50% chance of hitting it either way!

Mark, It has been a long time since I posted and I wanted to do something even if it isn't too polished. Classical Gas is a New Year's resolution of mine, I hope to post it in a few months (no promises! ). In the mean time, Shine on you Crazy Diamond offered a nice break. Thanks for watching and giving some positive feedback, it makes me want to keep practicing!

Hey Craig my man! I'm thrilled to have the chance to comment on YOUR video, you always support me 100% so time to return the favour. Great work. I really enjoyed the short introduction and I really look forward with renewed enthusiasm to 2015. In the meantime, you are coming along great with Shine on. I think a real plus is you are not trying to play it too fast and the barres are getting there steadily. As you get more comfortable I'm sure they will get easier. Nice work. Hey I picked up on a Canadian-like drawl as well! Not an ex mountie looking to start anew in the US are you?

Good work.

By the way, I hope Marc sees this because I missed your upload here Marc, it was great well done.

Craig, Nice effort on a tough song. I enjoyed your intro a lot as well and how you introduced the song. Looking forward to you post in 2015 :-)

2015 For Classical gas, hmm the race is on you might just pip me at the post though Craig. Anyway good solid effort on Shine On, not an easy one to play but you did very well in my opinion, maybe more work on the slides as the last sustained note seems to get deadened too soon. Solid on the barres though mate! They are a challenge.

I am always up for Pink Floyd tunes.

Good on ya mate.

Chas

I wouldn't say "alot" of work to do. Perhaps some, but that was a solid effort on a song that, frankly, looks a bit tricky. It's a barre chord workout for sure. It sounded great.

Tony,
Thanks mate. As I said in the intro, it was definately my turn. I appreciate you taking the time to watch. Hopefully Classical Gas will be ready before 2015, I didn't want to pu too much pressure on myself! I've lived in San Diego, California my whole life, however, I drank some Canadian beer the night before...maybe???
Thanks again,

Buddy, Thanks for the comment. I wanted to do a little intro because I think it's good to hear what TGers are thinking with the songs they post. Or just to put a voice/personality together with the name. Thanks again.

Thanks Chas. I agree with you on the slides. I was rushing it a little due to nerves and was killing a few notes. I appreciate your positive comments...it goes a long way to build my self confidence.
