I would like to say thanks to the World TG Banner Creators and Stuart for bringing it over the walls into Scotland!
We met at 7:30pm. near Glasgow Airport in Braehead.
Fine evening, calm and comfortable sitting outside Wetherspoons with a pint.
Stuart arrived with the banner handcuffed to his wrist!
After a little persusion he removed it and placed it on the chair behind him.
As Tom has explained the girls at the next table (when we had moved inside) really thought it was the Olympic Torch!
We ALL arrive with out a pen…. Stuart must have signed in blood ha ha!
Oh and we didn’t have a match to light it either :ohmy:
After a table side photo session, all photos taken by the girls at the next table, the banner was never removed from its tube for fear it would be instantaneous aquired to appear on some other darkside of the youtube video abbyss!!
The time would now be about 9:30 pm
We talked guitar and other worldly stuff until about 1am in the morning when two large doornmen approched and told us politely to LEAVE THE BUILDING!
By now night had descended with very cold, wet and windy weather.
Stuart went to his car to get a pen so we could sign the banner and I went to get my camera. When we returned and started signing the banner the rain and wind was getting wild. I couldn’t work my new camera!! Arrggghhhh (word deriverd from Guitarrrgghhhh), then a young girl passing by with her boy friend was determined to sign the banner. Tom and Stuart explained it’s for members only, gee she was not happy….”I don’t believe you won’t let me sign it, I just wanted to say Welcome to Glasgow”! Grabbing the pen from my hand she said well I’m going to put a kiss on it. Mortified I spoke to her kindly removing the pen from her hand before she did a Rolf Harris all over it!!
It was a great evening to meet other Tgers Stuart and Tom gave me a long over due laugh!
It’s a pity we did not meet Carpet but then there is always another time as we have agreed to meet up again with guitars (sounds like the pressure’s on, scary!)

No Willem, you will be taken on a wee tour to Juke St police station where you will see your wanted poster and the insde of the jail from behind the bars and there's no happy hour. :laugh: :laugh:

Actually, you sound like young boys attracting the attentions of the girls, the banner was just common handy!!
I bet you were both wishing Stuart had left the tube with you, given all the attention it was generating from the opposite sex! I guess we now understand why Stu was so loath to part with it, given its seemingly mythical powers of attraction! Can't wait to see what it does for the next lucky guy!
