OK Michele, very entertaining video, I think I miss my uke now, gotta look into it ...
I see your uke has 19 frets, mine has 14.
Do you have you an opinion about if a uke with a longer neck might sound better ? (besides just having more high notes)

Kevin - Thanks for the WOW and I always love seeing your 'Bravos'. Please feel free to steal away. I'd LOVE to see you play this on a ukulele (or the guitar). You would do a wonderful job I'm sure and it lends itself to more fingerpicking too, which you're a champion of. I just wasn't confident enough to do more fingerpicking and singing and so I just kept it to mostly strumming to simplify it.
Bob - The singing and playing thing...well I just felt like I could sing it better and play better and even remember the words and where I was up too, etc. when I was doing one or the other. Once I put them both together I kept distracting myself and something would go astray...like the pitch I was aiming for
or landing the ending... :huh:

Buddy - Thanks Buddy. I still wish I had your pipes to put towards this (in an alto range of course). The uke is fun. And so portable. Much more practical for sticking into a saddle bag; guitar...not so easy.
Rick - Blown away by the voice eh?... OK...what do you want???? (she asks suspiciously). I'm telling you now that Maid Marian outfit would just look silly on me. The hat I can do, but the bodice...seriously buddy - drag city... B) Seriously though that is SO sweet.
Andy - Thanks mate. Now as a Hawaiian man you MUST have a ukulele in the house or at least access to one. How about giving us a peek at your ukulele repertoire. That would be cool.
Pierre - Of COURSE you miss your uke. Go and find it. Don't delay a second longer. No excuses. We neeeeeed to see you playing the ukulele and singing. My ukulele is a tenor. Hal Kinnaman recommends that size if you intend to do more than strumming. The sound does appear to be louder and richer on the tenor than the soprano and concert sized models and the spacing of the frets is a little bigger too; I assume the improved sound is due to the bigger body and specifically the larger top. Switching the 4th string to a low-G helped here too. You know you want to come to my ukulele party. so don't resist.

BRILLIANT!!! That was HUGE fun! Great choice, sweet singing, lovely playing, fabulous camera work, gorgeous Klimt and decor, and educational too. What more could anyone ask for? I really enjoyed it. I'm wearing a big smile now.
